Tactical First Aid (TFA) Recertification (1-Day)

ST/OPS Tactical Training Canada develops and delivers world class medical programmes. All our courses adhere to the recommended guidelines laid out by the Committee on Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (Co-TECC) and the Committee on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (Co-TCCC). In addition, your members will benefit from lessons learned from our military experience and how to apply them to the civilian world of tactical medicine.


This is an 8-hour recertification course.  It ensures your members are current, proficient and up-to-date on all the best practices as recommended by the CoTCCC and CoTECC. The course is focused on hands-on refresher and reality-based assessment with your member’s proper medical gear.

Pre-requisites:

  • Must have completed Tactical First Aid, TECC or TCCC (or equivalent) training previously.


The Recertification consists of the following:

  • Review of concepts and phases of care
  • Review of medical mission analysis and planning
  • Written exam
  • Skill stations covering
    • Major haemorrhage
    • Airway Management
    • Respiratory management
    • Hypothermia prevention
    • Drags and carries.
  • 1/2 day of scenarios that are realistic and challenging from point of injury to handover to Police Medics or EMS. All scenarios make use of medically trained role players, our patented human worn devices, atmospherics and special effects.


All students will receive course certificate highlighting performance and skills refreshed for your records.  


The end result of this course is personnel who are current and capable of performing life-saving medical interventions compliant with your organization’s medical protocols.
